Stone Care Experts Bring Products to Arizona, Texas, Maine and Florida

SAN DIEGO – Oct. 16, 2008 – Granite Gold®, the top-selling specialty line of granite cleaners and other stone-care products in U.S. grocery stores, is meeting the demand for its line of products by increasing distribution across the U.S.

H-E-B Grocery of Texas will carry Granite Gold’s Daily Cleaner, Polish, Sealer, Floor & Tile Cleaner and Daily Wipes; Texas’s Brookshire Grocery will carry the Daily Cleaner, Polish, Tile & Floor Cleaner and Sealer; Maine’s Hannaford Grocery will offer the Daily Cleaner and Granite Gold Polish; and Albertson’s will offer Polish, Stone & Floor Cleaner and Daily Cleaner, covering much of Arizona — bringing the specially formulated products to countless homeowners looking for a safe and effective way to care for their natural-stone surfaces.  Sweetbay Supermarkets, with locations across Florida, will also carry Granite Gold Polish and Granite Gold Daily Cleaner.  This latest increase in distribution comes on the heels of an impressive 2007 fiscal year for Granite Gold in which it debuted on the international market through Costco Club Stores of the U.K. and doubled its domestic distribution from 2,000 to more than 4,000 stores.  This most recent increase in distribution, brings the number of stores carrying Granite Gold products to nearly 5,000.

Specially formulated to provide effective yet gentle cleaning and maintenance to all natural stone surfaces, Granite Gold was developed by cousins Lenny Sciarrino and Lenny Pellegrino – each with more than 15 years of experience in the natural stone installation and repair business.  Sciarrino and Pellegrino first launched their product in their native San Diego in 2003 in response to constant requests from customers for an easy, safe and reliable way to care for their investment in natural-stone surfaces. “Granite Gold was one of the first natural stone cleaning products on the market, and the only one developed by stone care experts,” said Granite Gold President and CEO Lenny Sciarrino.

“As more of the larger chemical companies launch natural stone care products, we’re hoping to show both retailers and consumers in our new distribution areas that there is no substitute for experience when it comes to developing a specialty stone cleaning and maintenance system,” he said.

Granite Gold brand granite cleaners and other stone-care products are specially formulated and developed by stone care professionals with more than 40 years of experience in the natural stone industry.  The products are designed for use on granite, marble and all other natural stone surfaces. They are also effective when used on natural quartz surfaces and can be safely used on ceramic or porcelain tile and grout.  This unique line of granite cleaners and other natural stone products, which contains the highest grade of quality ingredients, is user-friendly, non-toxic and safe for the environment.  For more information, visit www.granitegold.com or call 800/475-7866.
